Meitheal

Fifth year students are involved in the Meitheal programme in our school. One of the main focuses of this programme is to work closely with the first year students, to ensure a smooth and happy transition for them into secondary school. All students who are selected for the program undergo a week of training with Scala in Blackrock. The Meitheal group organise team/class bonding events throughout the year. They also assist with a “buddy programme” to offer individual support and friendship when needed. The main idea of the Meitheal leadership programme is to promote respect, foster relationships and to help build a better school community for everyone.
