Clean Coasts

St. Colman’s Community College is delighted to be An Taisce Ocean Hero School of the Year for the last two years running beating over 3,700 schools in Ireland to take this illustrious title. Students were highly praised for their work, commitment and passion in caring for their marine environment here in East Cork. The students have adopted Ballynamona, Ardnahinch, Garryvoe, Ballinwilling and most recently Ballybranagan beaches. The students have removed tonnes of litter and were recently commended by Minister Denis Naughten (Minister for Communications, Climate Action and Environment) who tweeted the school and his followers about the fantastic work being done by our students.
